Overview:
The Program Manager at G3 Aerospace is responsible for ensuring the overall success of assigned programs, managing them from initial concept through customer proposals, development phases, and into full-rate production. This role requires ownership of program cost, schedule, and quality while acting as the primary liaison with the customer. The Program Manager coordinates across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams, leveraging matrixed resources to deliver results. Strong technical management and communication skills are vital. Experience with Agile methodologies is highly valued, as these practices are integral to enhancing flexibility and efficiency in project execution.
Summary of Job Duties
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the focal point for assigned projects.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Develop and execute project plans to ensure on-time completion, adherence to budget, and meeting quality requirements.
- Manage customer changes related to technical scope, schedule, and commercial impacts.
- Track and report cost performance for assigned projects.
- Communicate project status and financial performance to stakeholders.
- Ensure project performance aligns with requirements and organizational objectives.
- Provide regular updates on milestones, risk analysis, and overall progress.
- Develop and manage project schedules with defined activities and milestones.
- Coordinate internal tasks to ensure alignment with project plans.
- Monitor and manage team performance to meet project goals.
- Oversee procurement, manufacturing, and certification performance.
- Work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
Education:
- A four-year college degree (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience managing development projects from inception to completion preferred.
- Background in operations, planning, or supply chain management is required.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks is strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization.
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
Other Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work extended or irregular hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel domestically, if required.
